Two women smiling in living room.Let me introduce myself to you…my name is Lorraine, I am William “Bennie” Bolen’s sister (favorite) 😉. He has been with JC Home Life now Beacon Specialized Living for almost 3 years come October.

He had a choice to stay with my husband and I after our mom passed away, but he wanted to be on his own to see what it was like. To tell the truth I was very skeptical/worried and scared in letting him try it, but I had to see if he could do it and BAM…look at him now! He has been through so much and look at him go!

I was told by all the Care Takers that he would be just fine. If he or I should have any issues they are there to support him in any way possible. They have provided transportation to and from work – the store – Church and if I’m not able to take him to his appointments they are always there and willing!

I had seen and heard about JC Home Life before it turned over to Beacon Specialized Living nothing but awesome things and the activities they’d do all the pictures were amazing to see all the smiles and them having fun. Bennie has fit in just great and gets along with his roommates and all the Care Takers. I definitely couldn’t ask for a better group of loving and caring people!!! I would highly recommend them!!

How do you feel about living at Eagle’s Crest with Beacon Specialized Living in your own words?

  • Eagle’s Crest feels like MY HОМЕ.
  • Eagle’s Crest staff are nice. Especially all the staff working with me currently, Malik, Jemisha, and Tamica.
  • Eagle’s Crest roommates are nice, and I get along with them.
  • I have opportunities to go wherever I want to go and be a part of the community.
  • I enjoy working. I love my job.
  • The entire team that cares for me such as Malik, Tae, Ms. China are great!
  • Beacon is doing a good job with taking care of us also. There is absolutely nothing bad to say. No complaints at all. Beacon is my family!
  • I’m going through a lot of changes in my body as I am getting older and everyone is taking such good care of me. Keep up the good work!

Since joining Beacon Specialized Living in February 2026, I’ve had a great experience growing into my role as a Lead DSP. Beacon has given me the opportunity to step outside of my comfort zone, take on new responsibilities, and expand my knowledge, skills, and abilities beyond my previous experience.
