Services Provided

Beacon – Keystone Community Resources is the leading provider of community support services for individuals with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities in Pennsylvania.

In Home & Community Services

In home and community services focus on the needs of each person, making sure they get the help that is just right for them. The main goal of IHCS is to help individuals live as independently as possible in their own homes or communities. This can include help with things like cooking, cleaning, personal care, and managing appointments. By providing this support in a person-centered way, IHCS enables individuals to stay connected with their families and friends, allowing them to enjoy their lives more fully. Overall, IHCS plays a vital role in improving the quality of life for many people, helping them feel safe and supported while they continue to live where they feel most comfortable.

Companion Services

Companion Services are designed to help people live healthier and happier lives in their own homes. The main goal is to provide support and supervision that allows these individuals to take part in daily activities at home and in their communities. Helpers can assist with light housekeeping, like tidying up and doing laundry, and can also go grocery shopping for meals. They help with meal preparation to ensure good nutrition, and provide transportation to appointments, which is important for staying involved in healthcare. Organizing social activities helps individuals connect with friends and family, while reminders about taking medication ensure they stay on track with their health. Personal care tasks are also covered, along with overseeing home maintenance to keep the living space safe. Overall, companion services aim to boost the quality of life for individuals with IDD by promoting independence and community involvement.

Housing Transition & Tenancy Sustaining Services

Housing Transition and Tenancy Sustaining services are here to help people obtain and/or stay in their own homes, no matter if they rent, lease, or own. This program is designed to support individuals by providing the tools and resources they need to keep their homes and find stable places to live. By offering guidance, training, and assistance, these services help people manage their living situations so they can thrive in their communities. When individuals have stable housing, it leads to greater independence and a sense of belonging.

In Home Respite Services

In home respite services are available all day and night to help families who care for loved ones at home. When the main caregiver needs a break or has to be away for any reason, these services step in to take care of the individual. This support is important because it ensures that the person remains safe and healthy in their home environment. Trained caregivers provide assistance with daily activities.  They also offer companionship, which helps to keep the individual engaged and happy. Families can feel relief knowing that their loved one is being looked after by someone who understands their needs. This allows caregivers to rest and recharge, preventing burnout and stress. Overall, respite services play a key role in supporting both the individual in need and their family, creating a better balance for everyone involved.
