Who is Beacon Specialized Living and what is your company’s philosophy?

Beacon Specialized Living is an innovative national company and a leader in providing residential-based services, supported living programs, day program options and various other supports to children and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Severe Mental Illness, Autism, and high-acuity behaviors.  Our employees are responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive, and person-centered therapeutic environment.  Our success is measured by personal growth, improved self-help skills, and participation in the communities we serve.

Will my role and responsibilities change?

Our primary goal is to NOT disrupt you or your ability to serve the people in your care. Over time, roles and responsibilities may change as we grow into one strong united organization.  Beacon is strongly committed to growth and staff development. We will be exploring best practice improvement opportunities.  This process has a high degree of employee participation. Your knowledge in operations and best practice is essential to the growth and improvement process.

Will my pay day change? 

Beacon’s pay periods are biweekly; pay days are every other Friday. In the coming weeks your pay will align with this schedule. More details will be communicated soon.

Will how I am paid change?

Currently, there are no plans to change base wages.

Will my supervisor change?

Your current supervisor remains unchanged for now. Leadership adjustments may occur later as needed, with clear communication and notice provided to ensure a smooth transition.

How will my benefits be impacted?

Beacon is pleased to offer full-time employees medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and employer-paid life insurance. Employees are also able to enroll in ancillary products such as life/AD&D, short and long-term disability and more! Benefit enrollment information will be coming soon.

Will the company name change?

Fidelis will change to Beacon Specialized Living- Missouri.

Have you developed any short and long-range plans?

Our short-term plan is to get to know you and what you do.  We want to meet and spend time with you and the individuals you serve.  We want to learn how you get the job done.

Our long-range plan is to continue to provide the best care for vulnerable individuals, strive to remain an employer of choice in our field, offer career advancement opportunities to employees, and as an organization grow to meet areas of person-centered need. To achieve this, we will continue to grow, adding new lines of services that can benefit from our core services and capabilities. We are continually assessing our markets, new markets, and changes in healthcare policy to ensure we are prepared to thrive regardless of these changes. We believe we can influence national policy making and gain support and funding to improve access and programming for people with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism.
