Beacon – Virginia’s residential programs provide quality residential support services to persons with intellectual disabilities by fostering independence and personal excellence in supported persons. We provide small group, 24-hour care residential programs that are designed to support four persons. Our homes exceed all Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services requirements and regulations.

Residential Programs

Beacon – Virginia’s residential programs provide quality residential support services to persons with intellectual disabilities by fostering independence and personal best attainment in supported persons. We provide small group, 24-hour care residential programs that foster independence and personal excellence in supported persons. Our homes are designed to support four persons and exceed all Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services requirements and regulations.

All of our beautifully appointed residences blend into neighborhoods and provide meaningful, community-based life experiences. Our homes provide the persons supported with the most community inclusive life experience as possible. Most Beacon – Virginia homes have access to community and/or clubhouse amenities. Some of these amenities include pools, tennis courts, and walking trails.

Beacon – Virginia has residences to suit a variety of lifestyles and life stages in order to best serve the personal preferences of the persons we support. All residences have multiple common area spaces so individuals can watch television of their choosing and engage in preferred leisure activities. All residences have outdoor decks and patios with furniture. All homes are equipped with flat screen televisions and computers. Many of our homes have first floor bedrooms with full baths.

Beacon – Virginia currently has 22 homes in the Northern Virginia area. Our homes are in Fairfax County, Prince William County and Stafford County.

  • Each Beacon – Virginia bedroom is as unique as the person who lives in it. 
  • Individuals also have the opportunity to choose cable and internet services for their bedroom.
  • We typically offer each person their own bedroom. Each person supported is encouraged to decorate their room to their taste.
  • We offer environmental modifications based on the support needs of the individual to support independence and maintain safety.
