Beacon–Virginia provides Residential Group Homes and Supported Living Residential services to adults with developmental disabilities. Our residential programs deliver high‑quality support by promoting independence, dignity, and personal growth for the individuals we serve. These programs are intentionally designed to support a smaller number of residents, allowing for more individualized care. All Beacon–Virginia homes meet and exceed the regulations and requirements set forth by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.
Residential Programs
All of our thoughtfully selected residences are seamlessly integrated into local neighborhoods and offer meaningful, community‑based living experiences. Our homes are designed to provide individuals we support with the most inclusive community life possible. Many Beacon–Virginia residences offer access to neighborhood and/or amenities, which may include swimming pools, tennis courts, and walking trails.
Beacon–Virginia offers a variety of residential options to accommodate different lifestyles and life stages, ensuring services are aligned with the personal preferences of the individuals we support. Most residences feature multiple shared living spaces, allowing individuals to enjoy television programming of their choice and participate in preferred leisure activities. Homes also include furnished outdoor decks or patios and are equipped with flat‑screen televisions for added comfort and enjoyment.
Beacon- Virginia currently has several homes in the Northern and Southern Virginia area.
- Each Beacon – Virginia bedroom is as unique as the person who lives in it.
- Individuals also have the opportunity to choose cable and internet services for their bedroom.
- We typically offer each person their own bedroom. Each person supported is encouraged to decorate their room to their taste.
- We offer environmental modifications based on the support needs of the individual to support independence and maintain safety.
